Description
This drainer has been hand-made on the potter´s wheel, out of durable stoneware clay. It has 4 little feet and drainage holes to allow for the water to exit the base of the pot, it also had holes in the sides, to allow for air to enter. The leafy decoration has been enhanced with manganese dioxide, creating this nice image under the white glaze.
I originally made it as a replacement for our metallic drainer, which was leaving rusty marks all over our sink, making it difficult to clean. Now our sink looks very classy and clean again!
